Third Glass Vehicle Redesign

OK, done the reference sheet for the Glass Vehcile Go-Kart. I didn't have enough time and I think it would've been too complicated to add the texture and detail into the reference sheet drawings. I thought the important thing would be to get the shape down.

Glass Vehicle Redesign

I've redesigned the glass vehicle, this time using the structure of a go-kart. Like Rich at the meetings said, it might be best to use this go-kart structure for all the other vehicles. I've tried to be as simple as possible in designing it, while still retaining its dynamic shape. If it still looks wrong, let me know and I'll edit it a bit.

Alternatively, I've also redesigned the current design of the glass vehicle in the bottom right corner of the second image to make it look shorter and simpler.

Signage Research

After speaking with the group we decided to stop with the road sign ideas as we found out that the work needed in order to make sure that the games signs fit in with the country that it would've been sold in would've required a lot of work for something very small and fleeting in the game.

We decided to keep the idea of the signs as a warning for players but to alter them into something everyone would understand. The signs would instead be large pictures of the hazard painted onto wooden billboards or scraps of junk laying by the side of the road, they would be larger sized in comparison to the road signs because, as was said last week road signs are small and could be easily missed during a race. The large signs fixed both the problems of not being able to see them and them having to be altered for different countries road signs.

Still looking at road signs for what to use for the pictures however, helped in making sure the pictures painted on the warning boards were recognizable by all players. The bend were all displayed by an arrow in the direction of the bend in the road.

The tunnel always displayed a graphic for a tunnel entrance with the exception of the US which used the world Tunnel instead, a possible problem if the game would ever be released there.

Below are a some of the examples of signs that we could potentially create for the game, these will be decided on and developed next week into the finalized design.
